waterlogged august - issue 4 - the spilling water

The Spilling Water
for my mother

A cup pours into another cup.
which pours into another cup

with its overflow
and never has more or less

but is poured into
because it functions to hold water

and at times, to pour
into another.

In this moment, the pour
is an overflow.

In this moment, the cup
is filled and poured out

all in one spilling edge:
a fountain like a stream

pushing a small paper boat
a small child placed there

and it travels
and it was made to never come back.
